The Health Council engages with federal, provincial, and territorial governments, national and regional organizations, researchers, providers, patients, and citizens by creating opportunities for dialogue, support and overall engagement through conference sponsorships, speaking engagements and presentations; sharing innovative practices and tackling tough issues and health care questions.

We do this through:

> Advisory Panels

> Speaking Engagements/Presentations

> Networks

> Sponsorships

> Health Innovation Portal

> Health Council National Symposium

> Health Council Publications

Advisory Panels (Top)

The Health Council regularly engages expert advisors (senior administrators, front-line health care providers, researchers, and citizens) for its projects. Advisors provide overall guidance and advice for our work, ensure that we accurately interpret research, data provide feedback on draft documents, and advise on opportunities for disseminating our findings.

Speaking Engagements/Presentations (Top)

The Health Council contributes keynotes addresses, speeches, presentations and panel participation to regional, provincial/territorial, national, and international conferences and events throughout the year.

Consult our event calendar for a list of engagements.

Networks (Top)

The Health Council of Canada collaborates across networks with decision makers at all levels. As an organization we engage with national networks, such as the Evidence Network and the Evidence-Informed Healthcare Renewal (EIHR) portal, to promote the use of evidence on health care renewal and innovative practices.

Sponsorships (Top)

The Health Council provides sponsorships to conferences and events that create a dialogue on key health care issues.  We contribute to the dialogue by providing information and funding, and engaged conference participants.

Health Innovation Portal (Top)

The Health Council reaches out to jurisdictions and health care organizations to identify innovative health care practices, programs, services and policies that are taking place across the country.  We’ve developed a Health Innovation Portal to help health care managers, providers, policy makers, and researchers find, share and spread innovative practices that are working in Canada across key health care areas.

Health Council National Symposium (Top)

The Health Council hosts an annual national symposium that convenes health care leaders for a focused discussion on an important health care issue.

Topics we’ve explored in our national symposium include:

Health Council Publications (Top)

Each year the health council publishes several reports on different health care theme areas. We present our reports across Canada to encourage a continuing conversation on health care renewal.
