Charles J. Wright
Dr. Charles J. Wright is a member of the Ontario Health Technology Advisory Committee, Chair of the Canadian Institutes of Health Research grants panel on Partnerships for Health System Improvement, and a health care consultant. He has been a surgeon, medical school professor, medical administrator, researcher, and clinical epidemiologist at the University of Saskatchewan and the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Wright was VP Medicine at the Vancouver Hospital and Health Sciences Centre, also founding the Centre for Clinical Epidemiology & Evaluation there, and Scientific Officer of the Canadian Health Services Research Foundation. He was a reviewer for the New England Journal of Medicine and the Canadian Medical Association Journal, a member of the editorial board of the Canadian Journal of Surgery, and has published over 100 papers. Dr. Wright was awarded the Hunter Medal in Clinical Surgery from the University of Glasgow, and was a Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada annual Medalist in Surgery. He was the 2002 recipient of the Emmet Hall Memorial Foundation Award for research and service to the Canadian health care system. |
